I have decided to quit this blog 🙁. Happy April fools, lol.
The first time I got to taste macaroons was in the mall in Montreal. I couldn't forget the everlasting taste, lol! I was so obsessed with this miniature to the extent my friend was shipping it to me from Montreal to Ottawa. I am sure now you're wondering, "why didn't she get it in Ottawa?" The taste of the macaroons in Ottawa was different. I tried every store I could try, but no store had been there yet. It was like the stores in Ottawa were not even bothered about having the best macaroons in town.
Anyways, as you all know I moved to Toronto. The city where everything is possible and you can find every single thing you're looking for. Let's just say I didn't have to search for so long as delysees is close to my house.
Delysees is an authentic French bakery located at 780 king street, downtown Toronto. They do have a variety of treats, but I am only going to speak on the macaroons. I always buy my macaroons online through Foodora delivery and they are priced at $25 for 10. They have a classic box (salted caramel, pistachio, expresso, 2x dark chocolate ..,) fruit box (Lime basil, rasberry, blueberry, Swedish berry ..,) fancy box ( vanilla birthday cake, creme Brule, gravely cookies ..,) and you could also get assorted. However, my favourites are the pistachio and raspberry macaroons. They are colourful, smooth on the surface, and once you take a bite you just feel a sudden melt in your mouth, which involves a mix of flavours, soft crunch and cream.
This place is certainly an A-. I am going to go to Nadege to try their macaroons and probably compare with delysees.
